This inner-city custom home is a standout build featuring 12-foot foundation walls engineered for a deep basement and high ceilings — a key element in maximizing livable space on a compact urban lot. Designed for modern family living, this project combines precision framing, structural complexity, and high-end architectural detailing.

Located in one of Calgary’s most desirable neighborhoods, the site presents the challenges typical of tight-access inner-city construction — limited lay-down space, complex excavation, and heavy concrete work. Carpenters Inc. coordinated every phase from forming through framing to deliver accuracy, efficiency, and safety on schedule.

Scope of Work

• 12-ft foundation walls and concrete forming
• Engineered framing for main and upper floors
• Structural beams, tall walls, and open-concept layouts
• Roof framing, window openings, and site-specific tie-ins
• Full framing package through to lock-up

This contemporary 4-plex development is located in Calgary’s inner city and designed to balance modern architecture with efficient urban living. Each unit features open-concept floor plans, large front windows for natural light, and private rear access.

Carpenters Inc. was engaged to complete the full framing package, including foundation blocking, floor systems, engineered tall walls, and roof framing. Built on a tight infill site, this project required precise coordination and sequencing to maintain efficiency and safety in limited space.
